Mineral Makeup Course (One evening or half day)
Mineral makeup has become very popular with both clients and beauty therapists because of its natural properties. It is suitable for all skin types, and will not clog skin leading to spots or blemishes. It provides a low level of sun protection, and the soothing minerals in the makeup will keep sensitive skin comfortable. A wonderful all-round innovation which is popular with clients who like to keep their beauty treatments natural and of genuine benefit to their wellbeing.
This half-day course is designed to help beauty therapists and makeup lovers get to grips with mineral makeup techniques and add these beautiful natural products to their treatments. It does take knowledge of some special methods of application to produce a good result with mineral makeup, and many therapists are still not aware of the full range of products available, as new ones are coming to the market all the time.
It is now possible to do a full makeup using minerals, whilst the perception can be that it is just a powder foundation and blusher product. Not at all! Concealers, primers, eyeliners and lipsticks are all available from mineral makeup suppliers and we will tell you how to get your hands on them at competitive prices, from small suppliers your clients won't find on the High Street.
Both makeup beginners and makeup artists with no experience of mineral makeup will benefit from the course, and members of the public who want to learn how to get the best out of mineral makeup are also welcome to attend. This is an opportunity to explore a different type of product, learn new techniques and create day and evening looks with mineral makeup.
The course covers:
•Skin types and preparing the skin for mineral makeup treatments
•Mineral versus conventional makeup – advantages for each skin type
•Tools and brushes required
•Types of mineral makeup product
•Techniques for eyes and lips, contouring face, shaping nose, jaw, etc
•Health and safety, preparing the work space etc
•Insurance and accreditation information
•Consultation and contraindications
•Carrying out a full consultation and makeup application
Students will be given details of suppliers and product recommendations so that they can build a professional mineral makeup kit including all the brushes and disposables needed to carry out makeup treatments.
Accredited by @04 for membership and insurance or go to our broker direct at The Register for Foot Health Practitioners. When you are ready to book your course, email to confirm there is a place and pay your deposit.
